All Coms Direct Business Broadband packages come with a business-grade router, 24/7 UK-based support, 4 hour broadband troubleshooting response time, 40 hour broadband fix time and hardware replacement within 2-3 working days.

Technology Explained

Our Business Broadband packages are designed around an ADSL service.

ADSL runs over an existing telephone network and is the most common form of broadband. The connections between the Exchange and your local Street Cabinet are copper, as are the connections between that Street Cabinet and your premises.

The existing telephone network, the PSTN network, is able to support broadband because the technology between the connections controls the frequencies allowing for the transmission of phone calls and data over the same line.

PSTN Management - £20/month

With our PSTN management service, we take control of your phone line. This additional service option includes your line rental and increasing your level of care to critical cover, giving your business a problem response time of 4 hours with a 6 hour fix time, 365 days of the year. With this level of care, your business faces minimum downtime possible on the PSTN line.

Enhanced Care - £15/month

Take your broadband service to the next level with our Enhanced Care Service. Taking your level of care from standard to enhanced means that your router is replaced by the next day and your broadband is fixed within 24 hours. With next day fix and replacement you can ensure that your business isn’t without broadband for any longer than 1 day.

Wireless Router Option - £5/month

Replacing our standard business-grade router, for the business that requires wireless access on their premises.

Professional Voice Prioritisation - £25/month

With Professional Voice Prioritisation, you can guarantee that your business can use modern VOIP solutions on your existing line without quality of service degradation. Using an engineered broadband solution, VOIP calls receive priority on the line and your phone system is never compromised by heavy traffic usage elsewhere in the business.

Managed Firewall Upgrade - £75/month, £100 Activation Fee

Our Managed Firewall Upgrades enables the configuration, monitoring and management of your network settings and permissions in real time. With Coms Direct managing your router remotely you benefit from a proactive fix of any connectivity issues combined with the highest level of security and support available for your network.

With 3G Failover - £110/month, £200 Activation Fee

In addition to our Managed Firewall Upgrade, 3G failover is designed to work alongside your broadband connection in the event of total network failure. Implemented with Static IP technology, 3G failover uses machine to machine connectivity, ensuring that your devices have a permanent network address with no human intervention required, meaning you have a backup connection when your network needs it most.

Virtual Private Network - £POA

For companies with multiple sites and the need for secure connections, this bespoke solution creates a Virtual Private Network enabling your business to operate in confidence. Using IP SEC or IP MPLS, this solution is perfect for organisations based in multiple locations or have the need to grow.

Managed WiFi - £POA

For the ultimate in site wide networking, this tailored solution takes WiFi management to the next level with fully managed access using specialist WiFi hardware. Perfect for retail industries or campuses, where different access levels and priorities can be applied to guests, staff, directors, students or any configuration that you require.
